Inspired by Simon Anderson's art history class at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and centered around the art-books of George Maciunas, Yoko Ono, and other Fluxus artists, these handmade, re-arrangeable books are geared towards children 3yo and up. This 'up' of course means any hands of any age can use them (so long as they aren't teething!) The thickness of the pages, spine and covers allow for smaller hands still developing gross motor skills and the laces help develop fine motor skills. Thanks to the size and looseness of it one could call it a percussion instrument as well!

These three pieces are an assemblage of intentionally cut and patinated copper, once functional metal devices that have experienced countless wheels on the streets of Chicago, fresh-water pearls and other small detritus. As Kyle has been creating earrings and necklaces of similar material for over a decade he has recently taken wearables and expanded them to wall-pieces and sculptures (someone could still wear them if they really wanted to though.)
